Search the Scriptures for in them

you think you have eternal life

This is what Jesus Christ told the Jewish leaders at one time when they were contending with Him over His teachings.

Joh 5:39  You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.

Joh 5:40  But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

Joh 5:41  "I do not receive honor from men.

Joh 5:42  But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you.

These were the people who claimed to be teachers and spiritual leaders of Israel, yet they had proven that they did not know the Scripture the way they should have.  The consequences of their ignorance were catastrophic for the people of Israel; and of course for Jesus Christ Himself.  Do you know the main reasons they killed Him for?   Not the ones they tell you these days in extremely deceptive documentaries – that He was in revolt against the Romans, that His attempt to gain a following backfired on Him, that He was a false teacher like many others, etc. This is what they crucified Him for.

Joh 5:15  The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.

Joh 5:16  For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath.

Joh 5:17  But Jesus answered them, "My Father has been working until now, and I have been working."

Joh 5:18  Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.

They sough all the more to kill Him because He said that God was His Father.  And what did Jesus Christ say to that?

Joh 10:30  I and My Father are one."

Joh 10:31  Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him.

Joh 10:32  Jesus answered them, "Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?"

Joh 10:33  The Jews answered Him, saying, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God."

Joh 10:34  Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, 'I SAID, "YOU ARE GODS" '?

Joh 10:35  If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),

Joh 10:36  do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?

Joh 10:37  If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;

Joh 10:38  but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him."

Joh 10:39  Therefore they sought again to seize Him, but He escaped out of their hand.

He escaped out of their hand, but not for long.  Eventually, they caught up with Him by trickery and we all know what they did to Him.  Now what do you think would happen if He were to come like a man again and preach the same Gospel of salvation these days?  You may not believe this, but in today’s “Christian” world His Gospel is as popular now as it was in the Jewish world.  Proof of this is offered by two people, who preach nothing but that same Gospel, yet end up being killed for it.  More on this later, but first a few observations about our work.

We always wanted to know which topics were of more interest to our readers so as to inform them better.  For about a decade, we relied for this on our correspondence.  Some of it was gratifying, other unhelpful or critical.  Then came the internet, and everything changed.  Since we put our magazines on the worldwide web, written correspondence has drained to a trickle.  Visits to our web site, however, have grown from month to month, even though we have added a new edition only once a year.  We knew that the topics we dealt with would remain of interest to our readers for a long time, or as long as they themselves become familiar with the Scriptures, which has been our primary goal from the very beginning.

We wanted to let people know that they have a source to which they can turn to for spiritual enlightenment anytime, anywhere, freely, and without anyone bothering them or asking questions about it.  Judging by the increasing number of people who visit us, we have achieved our goal.  However, as we have done in the past, we do it again.  We advise everyone not to take for granted that this site will always be here.  We have had many problems in the past, and know that we will have more in the future.  This is why we tell people to download our magazines in their entirety as soon as possible, in order to have them handy for the time when this site will be closed for good.  It has already been closed for a number of weeks recently, until we managed with considerable difficulty to open it up again.   We also want people to let us know, even anonymously, what other topics they would want us to write on or further elaborate upon.

One topic that has generated considerable discussion, even among academics and university students, or perhaps we should say especially among academics and university students engaged in Philosophical and Theological Studies, is the one on Free Will versus Predestination.  A well educated acquaintance of mine recently said to me, “Tell me more about this predestination thing, how exactly does it work?” This was more than a decade after we first wrote a lengthy article about it in The Christian Herald No 6.

That prompted us to take a closer look at our computer statistics.  To our surprise, that article still draws the lion share of visits and hits.  Until then, we had only paid cursory attention to those statistics, which other than showing us a steady increase in the number of visitors, didn’t ring any particular bells with us.

In the early days of the internet, you did not get all that much information anyway, at least our hosting company did not provide it to us, but nowadays you can dissect such statistics whichever way you want: which articles draw more people, where do they come from, how long they spend on them, etc.  Of course, they do not tell us the identity of those people, nor do we want to know that.  Unless people write to us, we do not want to know who they are.  When they write to us, we strictly respect they privacy. We have never passed on such information to third parties, who want it for advertising or other purposes.  The readers, who requested an answer from us, always received one, either directly or in articles.  Other than that, we have never followed up with further inquiries about their progress in the faith, nor have we made requests for donations.  We follow in the steps of the Apostles of Jesus Christ, who worked with their own hands to provide for their needs, never requesting donations from strangers, as we get these days from people all over the world.  If they would read our writings carefully, they would know that this work is supported by just two people, with no contributions whatsoever from outside sources.  We have relied on our heavenly Father for support, and without failure He has provided it.  It is amazing what one can achieve even on a pension, when he does not smoke, does not gamble, does not shop beyond the strictly necessary, etc.

God Almighty has so decided to pit us against our nemeses that make all sorts of extravagant claims for tithes and offerings, for which they deliver nothing but falsehood and perdition.  During the time of the Apostles, we could not have made this claim, for although there were many false preachers and prophets around then, there were also many who were genuine preachers of the true Gospel. Nowadays, however, it is a different story.  The Scriptures make it clear that by the time of the return of Jesus Christ, there would be none but two witnesses in the whole world who preach the true Gospel of salvation.  Everyone else is a false preacher or a false prophet, as Jesus Christ and His Apostles referred to them.

Towards the end of his ministry, Apostle Paul made this interesting statement:

2Ti 4:7  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

2Ti 4:8  Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

We cannot claim to have finished the race, for we know that there are yet a few things to be accomplished, but we can say that we have fought the good fight.  No one has ever been able to find a kink in the Gospel we preach, though many have grabbed with both hands the few stumbles we encountered in unveiling biblical prophecies about our time.  Unlike our nemesis, we always discussed them openly, always finding the reason, or reasons, for it.  Hard to believe as this may be for some, stumbling over dates and times is part of God’s prophecies.  While this was, and is, expected of God’s true servants, preaching a false Gospel is not.  Let us explain.  Ever since the time of Jesus Christ, is was in the heart of His followers to see Him return quickly and establish the much desired Kingdom of God.  Even the Apostles got that wrong, yet that was not imputed to them as sin. Sin is when people preach false gospels to attract a following, and of those our world is saturated with.

After every stumble, we went before the Almighty in fervent prayer asking Him what went wrong, what have we done that caused things to turn that way?  Eventually it dawned on us, or shall we say it was revealed to us, that we were going about it the wrong way.  When Jesus Christ said that one ought not to give pearls to swine, for they could turn back and tear you to pieces, He was not just mincing words, He meant it, and we disregarded that advice.

Mat 7:6  "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

Had God not protected us against our own “exuberant enthusiasm”, we would have been torn to pieces too.  Just imagine what would have happened if people believed that we were very close to the end of this age and the return of Jesus Christ.  Well, since the turn of the first Millennium, there have been churches and cults that have preached and prepared for that eventuality, selling their possessions and retreating on mountains to wait for their salvation.  This phenomenon has multiplied in the last couple of centuries, and especially in the last few decades and years, and not only in Christianity but in other religions as well.  Who does not remember the apocalyptic outcome of David Koresh and his followers, which included many children, who perished in an inferno behind an extraordinary arsenal of weaponry and fortifications?  What is even more shocking is that his few survivors, to this day believe that he was a man of God, a “Wicked Messiah”, who had to experience everything in order to know what its like to be on the other side of God’s law, so that he may be a right judge in the end time.  Among the things he had to experience was to sleep with his followers wives’ and daughters, to which many meekly paid obeisance.  Many, but not all, for some, no doubt those who did their home work and saw the Devil in the works, left that “paradise”, searching for the true Gospel elsewhere, thus becoming pariahs to other members of their families.  Often people pay a heavy price for the “treasure” and the “pearl” of the Kingdom of God, but the end thereof is the joy of eternal life.

Mat 13:44  "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

Mat 13:45  "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls,

Mat 13:46  who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

Mat 13:47  "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind,

Mat 13:48  which, when it was full, they drew to shore; and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away.

Mat 13:49  So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just,

Mat 13:50  and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

Mat 13:51  Jesus said to them, "Have you understood all these things?" They said to Him, "Yes, Lord."

Mat 13:52  Then He said to them, "Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old."

Mat 19:27  Then Peter answered and said to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?"

Mat 19:28  So Jesus said to them, "Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Mat 19:29  And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

Mat 19:30  But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

Coming back to the statistics of our web site, we did not pay much attention until recently when it dawned on us that they could tell us the topics of most interest to our readers.  We have always welcomed genuine questions and inquiries, to which we have always answered either directly or through articles in our magazines.  We must accentuate “genuine”, because more often than not, people come to us not to inquire but to confront us for preaching contrary to their beliefs and doctrines.  It amazes us that although for two decades we have stressed the fact that our interest has not been to create a congregation of followers, though we would have welcomed the support of such, but to preach the true Gospel of Jesus Christ – the Gospel of salvation – and expose the unbelievable amount of deception, falsehood and duplicity that has enveloped this world since the time of the Apostles.  Preaching truth in a world weaned on falsehood is a dangerous occupation.  It was dangerous at the time of the Apostles, and it is equally dangerous these days.  The fate of its preachers is the same, often at the hands of those who think they do God a favor, just as Jesus Christ foretold.

Joh 16:2  They will put you out of the synagogues[churches]; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.

Joh 16:3  And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me [people can know the Father and Jesus Christ only through the Scriptures] .

Joh 16:4  But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them. "And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.

It is not difficult to discover how much falsehood is being preached in religious congregations these days.  A plethora of publications and countless radio, television and internet programs, tell you that we live in the end time, a fact we totally agree with.   It so happens that there is a prophecy in the Bible, and only one, which tells us exactly the number of people that are true followers of God at this particular time in history.  Take careful look at it, for it says many things that should be of concern to every Christian and genuine seeker of truth.

Rev 11:3  And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth."

Rev 11:4  These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth.

Rev 11:5  And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner.

Rev 11:6  These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire.

Rev 11:7  When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.

Rev 11:8  And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Rev 11:9  Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves.

Rev 11:10  And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.

Rev 11:11  Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.

Rev 11:12  And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.

Rev 11:13  In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Rev 11:14  The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe is coming quickly.

Rev 11:15  Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!"

Extraordinary, isn’t it?  There are only two genuine witnesses of God in the end time when the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ. And what does the world do with them, or to them?  It begs them to tell them more abut the truth of God, and the true path of salvation?  No, it kills them, then send gifts to one another, and rejoice over their death.  That is what the Bible says, and that is how it shall be, because the Bible does not lie.

Psa 119:160  The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.

Joh 17:17  Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

Both the Old and the New Testaments confirm the fact that the Bible is the inalienable Word of God.  So if the Bible says that in the end time the whole world will hate God’s true witnesses and only preachers of the Gospel of salvation, you better believe that it is true.  Next time, when your preacher speaks on this topic, ask him, or her as it is more and more the case these days, who are those two prophets.  Most likely they will not give you a straight answer, but imply that he and his wife or another minister in the church, are the ones.  If you believe them, and are willing to give your life for them, it will most likely blow up in your face as it did in mine when I believed, and was willing to give my life for the two leaders of the Worldwide Church of God who claimed to be those witnesses.

Nearly four decades ago, there was no one I could turn to, or another source that I could search or inquire into in order to find out the truth.  I got the results only by intense and prolonged prayer, Bible and other studies, by which time they took me to the cleaners, so to speak.  God help him who dares to further inquire into the genuineness of his preacher.

Had it not been for God’s help, who saw that I was sincere in my search for truth, they would have brought me to the grave without a skerrick of remorse or repentance.  Ever since that time, they have never stoped throwing spanners in our work. Consider this: as soon as the internet became widely available and an ideal path for taking the Gospel to the world, they monopolised the domain names: thechristianherald.org, thechristianherald.com, and thechristianherald.net, the three obvious names for such a work.  For a decade now they have paid the fees even though they have never published anything under these names, only so that we would not be able to do that either. And they call themselves ministers of Jesus Christ.   Fortunately, they ignored www.thechristianherald.info , no doubt because in those days that was all but unheard of. Nowadays that domain name is almost as popular as the other three, but in the early days we struggled hard to make ourselves known.

Time has confirmed the nature of each one’s work.  We stand proud with what we have achieved.  We know of no other site or source that provides a more detailed and accurate explanation of the Scriptures, of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and of biblical prophecies, than what one finds on our web site.  And all for free.

Blessed are those who are called to

the marriage supper of Jesus Christ

Those who are weak in the Scriptures find it hard to believe that God is currently preparing a great supper for the marriage wedding of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Rev 19:9  Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!' " And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God."

The questiopn is, who is He marrying?  We will find that out shortly, but first let us establish whom He is inviting to His marriage super.  The obvious answer would be that first of all He invites the very people who are ministers in His churches.  Astonishingly, notice what happens when He does that.

Luk 14:16  "A certain man gave a great supper and invited many,

Luk 14:17  and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, 'Come, for all things are now ready.'

Luk 14:18  But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, 'I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.'  And another said,

Luk 14:19  'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.'

Luk 14:20  Still another said, 'I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.'

Luk 14:21  So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.'

Luk 14:22  And the servant said, 'Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.' Then the master said

Luk 14:23  to the servant, 'Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may

Luk 14:24  be filled.  For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.' "

Only a blind man could not see that this parable is about the priests and preachers of God’s congregations. Now why would they refuse to go to the great supper of Jesus Christ?   Because they know that they have not served God and not preached the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Another parable of Jesus Christ reveals more about their attitude.

Luk 20:9  Then He began to tell the people this parable: "A certain man planted a vineyard, leased it to vinedressers, and went into a far country for a long time.

Luk 20:10  Now at vintage-time he sent a servant to the vinedressers, that they might give him some of the fruit of the vineyard. But the vinedressers beat him and sent him away empty-handed.  Again he sent another servant;

Luk 20:11  and they beat him also, treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty-handed. And again he sent a third;

Luk 20:12  and they wounded him also and cast him out.   "Then the owner of the vineyard said,

Luk 20:13  'What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. Probably they will respect him when they see him.'

Luk 20:14  But when the vinedressers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, 'This is lays the heir. Come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.'   So they cast him out of the vineyard

Luk 20:15  and killed him. Therefore what will the owner of the vineyard do to them?  He will come

Luk 20:16  and destroy those vinedressers and give the vineyard to others." And when they heard it they said,

Luk 20:17  "Certainly not!"   Then He looked at them and said, "What then is this that is written: 'THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED HAS BECOME THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE' ?

Luk 20:18  Whoever falls on that stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder."

Luk 20:19  And the chief priests and the scribes that very hour sought to lay hands on Him, but they feared the people—for they knew He had spoken this parable against them.

Yes, but this parable was about the scribes and Pharisees of the Old Testament, not about the priests and preachers of Jesus Christ, someone might say.  Wrong!  Jesus Christ made no distinction in His parables between the Old and the New Testaments.  God did not have one standard for the Old Testament and another in the New.  God does not change.

Mal 3:6  "For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

Jesus’ parables are universally true for all times and all peoples.  He is the Saviour of the whole world, and that is why He sent His followers to make disciples of all the nations.

Mat 28:18  And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Mat 28:19  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son

Mat 28:20  and of the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

This brings us back to the question of who is Jesus Christ marrying during His great supper?  His wife obviously!  But who is His wife?  Herein lays one of the great mysteries of the Bible.  Apostle Paul said this:

Eph 5:29  For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.

Eph 5:30  For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.

Eph 5:31  "FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH."

Eph 5:32  This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

A great mystery concerning Christ and the church!  What mystery?  That the church is His bride!

Eph 1:22  And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,

Eph 1:23  which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Col 1:24  I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church.

Rom 12:4  For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,

Rom 12:5  so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.

The extraordinary mystery of the Bible is that God is reproducing Himself. Jesus Christ was His first born, but then, through Him, He creates a multitude of other sons.

Col 1:18  And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Col 1:19  For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself,

Col 1:20  by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

The term “firstborn” implies that other people are to follow.

Heb 12:22  But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,

Heb 12:23  to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Heb 12:24  to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

And who might this “church of the  firstborn” be?  None other than the new set of kings and priests that Jesus Christ is preparing for the Kingdom of His Father.

Rev 1:3  Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are

Rev 1:4  written in it; for the time is near.  John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,

Rev 1:5  and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made

Rev 1:6  us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Does the world know who these kings and priest are – the church of the firstborn, who form the bride of Christ?  No!

1Jn 3:1  Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

1Jn 3:2  Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

Here is a final proof of the heavenly supper marriage.  It is a passage that tells us clearly who will be part of that marriage and who will not.

Rev 21:1  Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there

Rev 21:2  was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Rev 21:3  And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.

Rev 21:4  And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."   Then He who sat on the throne said,

Rev 21:5  "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."

Rev 21:6  And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.

Rev 21:7  He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.

Rev 21:8  But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

Rev 21:9  Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, "Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife."   And he carried me away in the Spirit

Rev 21:10  to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

Rev 21:11  having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.

Rev 21:22  But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.  The city had no need

Rev 21:23  of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.

Rev 21:24  And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and

Rev 21:25  honor into it.  Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there).

Rev 21:26  And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.

Rev 21:27  But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

If God called you to the marriage supper of His Son, would you hear it and respond to it, or would you rely on your preacher to inform you about it?  Remember, he is not going to that supper.

On 27 June 2008, baggage handlers at Sydney international airport were startled to find themselves handling a coffin of which no one knew anything about.  No guard of honour for a fallen Australian in the war theatres in which the brave soldiers of this country are fighting against the dark forces of death and terrorism that have taken hold of this world, and yet there it was, a coffin accompanied by no more than a few Catholic clerics.  Who was in that coffin and why no one knew anything about it? It turned out that the coffin contained not the body of an Australian o had fallen recently overseas, but that of a Spaniard who had been dead since 1925.

The media wanted to know why the Catholic Church was bringing a corpse to Australia without informing anyone about it.  Their answer was that it was part of the World Youth Day which was to take place in Sydney between July 15 and 24.

A corpse for the World Youth Day?  When that Festival was awarded to Sydney no one mentioned the need for a corpse.  None of the previous World Youth Day Festivals had made use of one, so why was there need for one in Sydney?

People do not move corpses willy-nilly from country to country unannounced, not in this country anyway.   The flora and fauna of this continent are very different from those of other continents.  They need protection, and for this reason Australia has some very strict custom regulations about what can and cannot be brought into this country.  Corpses carry diseases, and that is why certain safety, or quarantine, regulations must be undertaken before they are brought into the country. Yet the Catholic Church cared nothing about those things and faced the Australian authorities with a fait-a-comply.

Now what caused the Catholic Church to bring to Australia the corpse of a long dead person when it had not done so in any of its previous World Youth Day Festivals, and to do it without giving prior notice to the Australian authorities?  We will get that answer shortly.

The whole affair looked as if it was a hurriedly organized event at the last moment, which did not give them time to observe the normal procedures and formalities.  Naturally, Australian authorities, not wanting to create a diplomatic case on the eve of what had been billed as the greatest event in the world after the Olympics, let it pass without incident.  Who would dare oppose the Catholic behemoth on the eve of its World Youth Day Festival?

Catholic and Orthodox Churches have treated death as if it were a door to paradise.  They have raised the veneration of corpses to a fine art.  Remains of their “saints” are held in high esteem.  We put that word in inverted commas because their “saints” are very different from the saints of the Bible – the saints of God.  There is not a single case in the Bible in which the term “saint” or “saints” is applied to dead people.  In every case it refers to living people.  In the Bible, when people die, they remain unconscious or “asleep” until they are resurrected and judged. Both the Old and the New Testaments confirm this fact.

Dan 12:8  Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, "My lord, what shall be the end of these things?"

Dan 12:9  And he said, "Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

Dan 12:10  Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.

Dan 12:11  "And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Dan 12:12  Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

Dan 12:13  "But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.

Daniel is one of three men declared by God to be righteous people.

Eze 14:12  The word of the LORD came again to me, saying:

Eze 14:13  "Son of man, when a land sins against Me by persistent unfaithfulness, I will stretch out My hand against it; I will cut off its supply of bread, send famine on it, and cut off man and beast from it.

[Those who wonder why the world is being ravaged by climate change, draught and famine, should take another close look at this passage].

Eze 14:14  Even if these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness," says the Lord GOD.

Now if a righteous man like Daniel shall rest and arise to receive his inheritance at the end of the days, and not immediately after death, as traditional churches preach, you can be sure that no one else goes anywhere after death.  The New Testament also confirms this fact.

Act 2:29  "Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

Act 2:30  Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,

Act 2:31  he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.

Act 2:32  This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.

Act 2:33  Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

Act 2:34  "For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself: 'THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD, "SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND,

Act 2:35  TILL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES YOUR FOOTSTOOL." '

Act 2:36  "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."

Like Daniel, David was one of the great personalities of the Bible.  Yet, as you can see, he is still buried and asleep, and shall remain so until the end of days when he too will be resurrected to receive his inheritance.

Where then did traditional churches get the notion that people are alive after death and able to perform miracles?

Not from the Bible, that is for sure.  The notion of life after death, common in ancient Egypt, spread from that country to all the Middle Eastern cultures, and eventually to Rome, Europe and the world.  It is precisely to counter such fallacies that God separated a “chosen people” in order to reveal to the world a true religion.  The only example in the Bible in which dead people speak is found in the book of Samuel.  Let us have a look at that account, and see what exactly it tells us.

1Sa 28:1  Now it happened in those days that the Philistines gathered their armies together for war, to fight with Israel. And Achish said to David, "You assuredly know that you will go out with me to battle, you and your men."

1Sa 28:2  So David said to Achish, "Surely you know what your servant can do." And Achish said to David, "Therefore I will make you one of my chief guardians forever."

1Sa 28:3  Now Samuel had died, and all Israel had lamented for him and buried him in Ramah, in his own city. And Saul had put the mediums and the spiritists out of the land.

1Sa 28:4  Then the Philistines gathered together, and came and encamped at Shunem. So Saul gathered all Israel together, and they encamped at Gilboa.

1Sa 28:5  When Saul saw the army of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart trembled greatly.

1Sa 28:6  And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by the prophets.

1Sa 28:7  Then Saul said to his servants, "Find me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her." And his servants said to him, "In fact, there is a woman who is a medium at En Dor."

1Sa 28:8  So Saul disguised himself and put on other clothes, and he went, and two men with him; and they came to the woman by night. And he said, "Please conduct a séance for me, and bring up for me the one I shall name to you."

1Sa 28:9  Then the woman said to him, "Look, you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off the mediums and the spiritists from the land. Why then do you lay a snare for my life, to cause me to die?"

1Sa 28:10  And Saul swore to her by the LORD, saying, "As the LORD lives, no punishment shall come upon you for this thing."

1Sa 28:11  Then the woman said, "Whom shall I bring up for you?" And he said, "Bring up Samuel for me."

1Sa 28:12  When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice. And the woman spoke to Saul, saying, "Why have you deceived me? For you are Saul!"

1Sa 28:13  And the king said to her, "Do not be afraid. What did you see?" And the woman said to Saul, "I saw a spirit ascending out of the earth."

1Sa 28:14  So he said to her, "What is his form?" And she said, "An old man is coming up, and he is covered with a mantle." And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground and bowed down.

1Sa 28:15  Now Samuel said to Saul, "Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?" And Saul answered, "I am deeply distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God has departed from me and does not answer me anymore, neither by prophets nor by dreams. Therefore I have called you, that you may reveal to me what I should do."

1Sa 28:16  Then Samuel said: "So why do you ask me, seeing the LORD has departed from you and has become your enemy?

1Sa 28:17  And the LORD has done for Himself as He spoke by me. For the LORD has torn the kingdom out of your hand and given it to your neighbor, David.

1Sa 28:18  Because you did not obey the voice of the LORD nor execute His fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore the LORD has done this thing to you this day.

1Sa 28:19  Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with you into the hand of the Philistines. And tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. The LORD will also deliver the army of Israel into the hand of the Philistines."

1Sa 28:20  Immediately Saul fell full length on the ground, and was dreadfully afraid because of the words of Samuel. And there was no strength in him, for he had eaten no food all day or all night.

1Sa 28:21  And the woman came to Saul and saw that he was severely troubled, and said to him, "Look, your maidservant has obeyed your voice, and I have put my life in my hands and heeded the words which you spoke to me.

1Sa 28:22  Now therefore, please, heed also the voice of your maidservant, and let me set a piece of bread before you; and eat, that you may have strength when you go on your way."

1Sa 28:23  But he refused and said, "I will not eat." So his servants, together with the woman, urged him; and he heeded their voice. Then he arose from the ground and sat on the bed.

1Sa 28:24  Now the woman had a fatted calf in the house, and she hastened to kill it. And she took flour and kneaded it, and baked unleavened bread from it.

1Sa 28:25  So she brought it before Saul and his servants, and they ate. Then they rose and went away that night.

Taken to its face value, this passage appears to describe the reawakening of Samuel from the dead and his prediction about the end of King Saul.  The fact that this prophecy was fulfilled immediately afterwards gives added credence to the notion that the dead can speak and predict the future.  What do we make of the following statements then?

Lev 19:31  'Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

Lev 20:6  'And the person who turns to mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people.

Lev 20:26  And you shall be holy to Me, for I the LORD am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.

Lev 20:27  'A man or a woman who is a medium, or who has familiar spirits, shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones. Their blood shall be upon them.' "

Not once, but three times God thundered against people who become mediums for familiar spirits.

In the Bible, the terms “mediums and familiar spirits” are used to denote witches – people who dabble into the occult.  Those who do so defile themselves in the eyes of God, therefore they must be cut off from among the chosen people.

Now if they no longer speak for God, and He is not their God and inspiration anymore, who do they speak for?  Obviously, for the Adversary, the Devil!  How then do we explain the fact that they speak the truth sometimes?  This is how:

1Ki 22:1  Now three years passed without war between Syria and Israel.

1Ki 22:2  Then it came to pass, in the third year, that Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went down to visit the king of Israel.

1Ki 22:3  And the king of Israel said to his servants, "Do you know that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, but we hesitate to take it out of the hand of the king of Syria?"

1Ki 22:4  So he said to Jehoshaphat, "Will you go with me to fight at Ramoth Gilead?" Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, "I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses."

1Ki 22:5  Also Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, "Please inquire for the word of the LORD today."

1Ki 22:6  Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said to them, "Shall I go against Ramoth Gilead to fight, or shall I refrain?" So they said, "Go up, for the Lord will deliver it into the hand of the king."

1Ki 22:7  And Jehoshaphat said, "Is there not still a prophet of the LORD here, that we may inquire of Him?"

1Ki 22:8  So the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "There is still one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the LORD; but I hate him, because he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil." And Jehoshaphat said, "Let not the king say such things!"

1Ki 22:9  Then the king of Israel called an officer and said, "Bring Micaiah the son of Imlah quickly!"

1Ki 22:10  The king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, having put on their robes, sat each on his throne, at a threshing floor at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.

1Ki 22:11  Now Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made horns of iron for himself; and he said, "Thus says the LORD: 'With these you shall gore the Syrians until they are destroyed.' "

1Ki 22:12  And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, "Go up to Ramoth Gilead and prosper, for the LORD will deliver it into the king's hand."

1Ki 22:13  Then the messenger who had gone to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, "Now listen, the words of the prophets with one accord encourage the king. Please, let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak encouragement."

1Ki 22:14  And Micaiah said, "As the LORD lives, whatever the LORD says to me, that I will speak."

1Ki 22:15  Then he came to the king; and the king said to him, "Micaiah, shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall we refrain?" And he answered him, "Go and prosper, for the LORD will deliver it into the hand of the king!"

1Ki 22:16  So the king said to him, "How many times shall I make you swear that you tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?"

1Ki 22:17  Then he said, "I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. And the LORD said, 'These have no master. Let each return to his house in peace.' "

1Ki 22:18  And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "Did I not tell you he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?"

1Ki 22:19  Then Micaiah said, "Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by, on His right hand and on His left.

1Ki 22:20  And the LORD said, 'Who will persuade Ahab to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?' So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner.

1Ki 22:21  Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD, and said, 'I will persuade him.'

1Ki 22:22  The LORD said to him, 'In what way?' So he said, 'I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.' And the LORD said, 'You shall persuade him, and also prevail. Go out and do so.'

1Ki 22:23  Therefore look! The LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and the LORD has declared disaster against you."

1Ki 22:24  Now Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said, "Which way did the spirit from the LORD go from me to speak to you?"

1Ki 22:25  And Micaiah said, "Indeed, you shall see on that day when you go into an inner chamber to hide!"

1Ki 22:26  So the king of Israel said, "Take Micaiah, and return him to Amon the governor of the city and to Joash the king's son;

1Ki 22:27  and say, 'Thus says the king: "Put this fellow in prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and water of affliction, until I come in peace." ' "

1Ki 22:28  But Micaiah said, "If you ever return in peace, the LORD has not spoken by me." And he said, "Take heed, all you people!"

1Ki 22:29  So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead.

1Ki 22:30  And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "I will disguise myself and go into battle; but you put on your robes." So the king of Israel disguised himself and went into battle.

1Ki 22:31  Now the king of Syria had commanded the thirty-two captains of his chariots, saying, "Fight with no one small or great, but only with the king of Israel."

1Ki 22:32  So it was, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, "Surely it is the king of Israel!" Therefore they turned aside to fight against him, and Jehoshaphat cried out.

1Ki 22:33  And it happened, when the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him.

1Ki 22:34  Now a certain man drew a bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joints of his armor. So he said to the driver of his chariot, "Turn around and take me out of the battle, for I am wounded."

1Ki 22:35  The battle increased that day; and the king was propped up in his chariot, facing the Syrians, and died at evening. The blood ran out from the wound onto the floor of the chariot.

1Ki 22:36  Then, as the sun was going down, a shout went throughout the army, saying, "Every man to his city, and every man to his own country!"

1Ki 22:37  So the king died, and was brought to Samaria. And they buried the king in Samaria.

1Ki 22:38  Then someone washed the chariot at a pool in Samaria, and the dogs licked up his blood while the harlots bathed, according to the word of the LORD which He had spoken.

The angels of God, who inspire the prophets of God, speak the truth.  The angels of the Devil, who inspire the false prophets, speak falsehood, or mix truth and falsehood. They are all sons of God, they have all been created by God for a specific purpose, and all come before Him at certain times to fulfill the job assigned them.  At times, even Satan’s demons are commanded to speak the truth, as was the case with the medium that spoke to Saul.

The question is why did God allow that scene to take place and then record it for posterity? Precisely to show us what happens to those who disobey Him.  Saul had departed from God early in his kingship, and as a result God had departed from him.  Then, to make things worse, instead of repenting of his sins and letting God deal with him as He wished, as did David later on when he committed some horrible sins too, he compounded his error by going after familiar spirits.  Early in his kingship, he had eliminated mediums and familiar spirits from the land, but then he regretted it and sought one to commune with.  God let that medium speak the truth as far as he was concerned, but not as far as Samuel.  Samuel had nothing to do with that scene.  Rather, it was a wicked spirit that masqueraded as Samuel and spoke in his name. Does that mean that God sometimes approves of humans who deal with the dead and dabble into the occult?  Certainly not!  God does not change!

Mal 3:5  And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness Against sorcerers, Against adulterers, Against perjurers, Against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, And against those who turn away an alien— Because they do not fear Me," Says the LORD of hosts.

Mal 3:6  "For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

Mal 3:7  Yet from the days of your fathers You have gone away from My ordinances And have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you," Says the LORD of hosts.

God does not say one thing in one place, and another in another place.  In this lay the proof and strength of the Bible.  For although the Bible has been written by dozens of people, who lived at different times and in different places, there is only one seam that runs through the whole Book – one message of obedience to God and one Gospel of salvation.

God’s attitude to death and to those who dabble in it is the same throughout.  He forbids His people to have anything to do with it.  The same is true regarding sainthood.  He has not given human beings the prerogative to make saints, even in this life let alone after death.  No, not even to the Popes of the Catholic Church!   As we’ve seen, no one goes to Heaven or to Hell after death.  People remains unconscious until the resurrection at the end time when they are judged “according to their deeds”.  Those that have been obedient to God, and kept His Commandments, are given eternal life in the Kingdom of God, while the disobedient are disposed of in a great lake of fire.  Here is the Bible proof of that.

Rev 14:12  Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Rev 14:13  Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, "Write: 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.' " "Yes," says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them."

Saints are those who keep the Commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ, not those who supposedly perform miracles after death.

Mar 12:24  Jesus answered and said to them, "Are you not therefore mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God?

Mar 12:25  For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

Mar 12:26  But concerning the dead, that they rise, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the burning bush passage, how God spoke to him, saying, 'I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, THE GOD OF ISAAC, AND THE GOD OF JACOB' ?

Mar 12:27  He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. You are therefore greatly mistaken."

He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.  Can you see now why He forbids His people to have anything with death, corpses and idols?  This is confirmed by a number of statements from the Bible.

Eze 6:5  And I will lay the corpses of the children of Israel before their idols, and I will scatter your bones all around your altars.

Eze 43:7  And He said to me, "Son of man, this is the place of My throne and the place of the soles of My feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel forever. No more shall the house of Israel defile My holy name, they nor their kings, by their harlotry or with the carcasses of their kings on their high places.

Eze 43:8  When they set their threshold by My threshold, and their doorpost by My doorpost, with a wall between them and Me, they defiled My holy name by the abominations which they committed; therefore I have consumed them in My anger.

Eze 43:9  Now let them put their harlotry and the carcasses of their kings far away from Me, and I will dwell in their midst forever.

Not only have they not put the carcasses of their kings away from God, but have filled His places of worship with carcasses.  No Catholic or Orthodox Church is complete unless it contains carcasses of dead people, or pieces of them.

Jer 16:18  And first I will repay double for their iniquity and their sin, because they have defiled My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable idols."

This brings to mind another famous prophecy which speaks of about abominable things.

Mat 24:14  And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Mat 24:15  "Therefore when you see the 'ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place"  (whoever reads, let him understand), . . .

The context of this prophecy, and those of Daniel the prophet, to whom Jesus Christ sent His disciples, makes clear that this “abomination of desolation” is not a carcass or an idol, but a human being in high position who has done much damage to God’s people down through the centuries.  We have discussed this topic at length in a number of our magazines, and brought undeniable proof that this “abomination of desolation” is one who defies God with carcasses in places of worship, with sainthood after death, with defiling the Sabbath, and with blaspheming His name by apportioning God’s title of Holy Father.

Now have a look at the following passages from the book of Revelation and see what you make of it.

Rev 12:1  Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.

Rev 12:2  Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.

Rev 12:3  And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.

Rev 12:4  His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born.

Rev 12:5  She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne.

Rev 12:6  Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

Rev 12:7  And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought,

Rev 12:8  but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer.

Rev 12:9  So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Rev 12:10  Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

Rev 12:11  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

Rev 12:12  Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time."

Rev 12:13  Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child.

Rev 12:14  But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.

Rev 12:15  So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood.

Rev 12:16  But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.

Rev 12:17  And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The “male Child” is of course Jesus Christ; the woman is God’s Congregation.  The Devil is enraged not only because he was fooled into believing that by crucifying Christ he would inherit the earth, but because having been overcome by Jesus Christ he was cast out of heaven to a word that was on its last legs.

The Devil was enraged with the woman and went to make war against her offspring that keep the Commandments of God.   Now what kind of crime is that – keeping the Commandments of God?  And you know what?  To this day, the Devil and his servants are still at war against those who keep the Commandments of God.  Think of the fourth Commandment, the Sabbath, that has been designated as the sign between God and His people, and you might have an idea who is not keeping the Commandments of God and doing the work of the Devil.

Here now is proof of the end of Satan and his servants, and of the fact that the dead go nowhere until the resurrection.

Rev 20:1  Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

Rev 20:2  He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;

Rev 20:3  and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.

Rev 20:4  And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

Rev 20:5  But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Rev 20:6  Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Rev 20:7  Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison

Rev 20:8  and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.

Rev 20:9  They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.

Rev 20:10  The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Rev 20:11  Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.

Rev 20:12  And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.

Rev 20:13  The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.

Rev 20:14  Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Rev 20:15  And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

This is a very different Gospel from the one preached by the churches of today, especially the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, the only “real churches” according to this Pope.  The Churches of God have had very different beliefs different practices.  They had no images, no idols, no carcasses, not even crosses in their places of worship, until the Roman Church imposed itself upon Christendom.

The world was led to believe that after the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD, Christianity conquered the Roman Empire.  The truth is very different. Roman leaders imposed their beliefs and practices upon the Empire, forcing the true Church of God to go underground, from where it surfaced only after the Protestant Reformation of the fifteenth century.

Now we can finally reveal why the Catholic Church brought its coffin to Australia for the World Youth Day Festival.

Earlier this year, we published The Christian Herald No 17 in which we had an article about donating blood and body organs.  In that article we explained why it is all right for the people of God to do so with people of the same faith; why it is not advisable to do it with people of another faith; and why it is totally wrong receive anything from corpses.  We strongly recommend everyone to read that article. It can be found at this web site: www.thechristianherald.info.

We believe the Catholic Church took issue with that article, and quickly took measures to counter our arguments.  It did so by hurriedly arranging to bring to Australia the corpse of a Spanish youth which it plans to consecrate as “saint”, lest its young pilgrims might get the idea that it is wrong and ungodly to venerate corpses.

The Catholic Church has been paying a lot of attention to our writings lately.  In fact, we had proof that it did so from the very beginning, but we could not say so, for no one would have believed us.  But now, that our conflict has come out into the open, one only has to read the last two or three editions of our magazines to see how serious this matter has become.

When Ignorance Is Turned Into Virtue,

Any Hope Of Salvation Is Lost

There is no middle ground when it comes to salvation.  Either you are among those who will be saved, or among those who will perish.  The great tragedy of our time is that although it has never been easier to find out the true path of salvation, more people are being lost now than at any time in history.  This however is not what you hear in the churches of today.  The greatest virtue, according to their preachers, is in drawing more people into their fold.

It does not matter that there are almost as many “gospels of salvation” in the world today as there are churches.  They never discuss with their followers the importance of seeking the true Gospel, direct from the Scriptures, from teachings of Jesus Christ and His Apostles. To do so would expose them to the fallacies of their own preaching.   Let us look at some examples from the Scriptures which show how important it is for people to believe the right Gospel.

1Ti 1:1  Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope,

1Ti 1:2  To Timothy, a true son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

1Ti 1:3  As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

1Ti 1:4  nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith.

1Ti 1:5  Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith,

1Ti 1:6  from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk,

1Ti 1:7  desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm.

1Ti 1:8  But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully,

1Ti 1:9  knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

1Ti 1:10  for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine,

1Ti 1:11  according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.

1Ti 1:18  This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare,

1Ti 1:19  having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck,

1Ti 1:20  of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.

No sooner did he establish churches in various cities of Asia and Greece that unscrupulous people started preaching false doctrines.  And why would they do that instead of teaching the right doctrines?  Because they did not know any better, but desired to be “teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm”.

Two of them so annoyed Paul that he gave them over to Satan, “that they may learn not to blaspheme.”   He does not tell us the nature of their blasphemy, but we may deduct from the context of his writings that anything contrary to the true Gospel is blasphemy.   He gives us a hint that they were preaching something that was contrary to the law.  Now if you go to any traditional church – Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Evangelical, etc. – they would tell you that the law has been done away with.  And whom do they quote for that?  None other than Apostle Paul himself!  So let us look what exactly it is that he taught his followers.  First of all, you noticed how he told Timothy that, “the law is good if one uses it lawfully”.  And yet, in his epistle to the Colossians, he appears to say something that is completely different.

Col 2:1  For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh,

Col 2:2  that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,

Col 2:3  in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Col 2:4  Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words.

Col 2:5  For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

Col 2:6  As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,

Col 2:7  rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

Col 2:8  Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

Col 2:9  For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;

Col 2:10  and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

Col 2:11  In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,

Col 2:12  buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.

Col 2:13  And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses,

Col 2:14  having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

Col 2:15  Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

Col 2:16  So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths,

Col 2:17  which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.

Col 2:18  Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Col 2:19  and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.

Col 2:20  Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations—

Col 2:21  "Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle,"

Col 2:22  which all concern things which perish with the using—according to the commandments and doctrines of men?

Col 2:23  These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.

Key expressions here are “handwriting of requirements” and “commandments and doctrines of men”.   Apostle Paul said that these have been nailed to the cross, yet the preachers of today say that it is the Commandments of God that have been nailed to the cross.  This is the reason why none of them preach the importance of keeping the Ten Commandments, and why their followers never open the Bible to find out the truth for themselves.  Now have a look at a quote from an article in The Christian Herald No 12, which we published after my visit to Romania.

“People who in times past defended Christianity (or what they thought was ‘Christianity’) against pagan influences, are now defending an adulterated tradition against the Word of God?  It is a process that has been common to Christianity from the very beginning.  It all began with groups of people who worshiped God with genuine hearts and intentions. Then, with the passage of time, they became lacklustre and encumbered by customs and traditions that no longer fit the norm.   Then some people broke away and returned the “original faith”.  To them, the old guard had fallen away, and they had “proof” of it.

2 Th 2:1  “Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together

2 Th 2:2  to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter,

2 Th 2:3  as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.  Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition.”

When that Day did not come as expected, they themselves became apostates and instruments of the Devil in the eyes of the old guard, and they had “proof” of it too.

1 John 2:18  “Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.

1 John 2:19  They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.”

This process had been repeated over and over again down through the centuries, with the result that we have churches today of every conceivable hue, belief and tradition, each holding to its own “truth”.  The process began when the Roman Church broke links with the Judaisers – people who held on to the beliefs and practices of the early Churches of God. Then came the split with the Orthodox Church.  And then the Reformation, and the Protestant movement.  More recently we had the fundamentalist and charismatic splits.

The problem is that none of their “truths” stand up to the analysis of the Scriptures.  This is proven by the fact that even if only one of them was right, there would be no need for someone to come in the spirit of Elijah and restore “all things” just before the return of Jesus Christ (Mat. 17:9-11).  None of these churches and denominations would be recognised by the doctrines set by Jesus Christ and His Apostles. Their Christianity is simply unrecognisable by the standards of the early Churches of God.  For although there were differences between the Christianities of Paul, Peter and James (see TCH No 9), when it came to their basic doctrines, there were none.  This is not what one can say about the churches of today!

This brings us to the question of what the Bible League missionaries preach in the churches they plant overseas.  We knew of their work long before they sent us their latest newsletter. Since they kept requesting donations from us, we wanted to know how they spend the money, and what gospel they preach in their churches.  They did not reply to our correspondence, nevertheless, just in case the letter got lost, we gave them a telephone call too.  A lady answered and we were able to ask her a few questions.  First we wanted to know the difference between the Bible League and the Bible Society of Australia, which also seeks donations for sending Bibles overseas.

“Well, we don’t sell Bibles”, she said.  “All we ask is that people undertake a course with us.”

“And what do you teach them in those courses.  Do you tell them about tithing, for example?”

“Well, I suppose they do that.”

“What about speaking in tongues?”

“Well, we don’t do that here at the headquarters, but I am not too sure what they do overseas.”

What she was very sure of, however, was that she was alone in the office and had no more time to talk with us.  So she hang up.  Now does that tell you anything?  Does it ring a bell with you as it did with us?  Do you think these people are sincere when they say that they are concerned with distributing Bibles?  Or rather concerned with distributing their brand of Christianity.

In their Bible League Report they admit that their main activity overseas is ‘planting churches’.  But that is not what they say when they request funds from the public.  Obviously they are using the ruse of distributing Bibles as a Trojan Horse by which they could gather funds and spread their brand of Christianity.  And what does that brand involve?  To begin with, it involves the doctrine of tithing – giving at least ten per cent of one’s income to the church.  The fact that none of the Apostles of Jesus Christ placed such burdens on their followers is of no consequence for them.

Can you see now why their converts are so eager to become ‘church planters’ everywhere?  Getting ten per cent of the income of their converts could give them a very comfortable life style without ever having to strain their brains and burn the midnight oil with studies of higher education, or any studies for that mater.  All they need to do is let the spirit “touch” them so that they can babble in tongues, then offer a mumbo-jumbo type of preaching that neither they nor their listeners would understand.”

That was in 2002.  Now here is a quote from one of their Evangelical Bulletins of 2008.

“When the Communist system fell in Romania in December of 1989 and results from the first post-Communist nationwide census were revealed in 1992, evangelical Christians rejoiced to see that 380,086 people counted themselves as members of evangelical churches. Over the next eight years that number increased to approximately 440,000. Today the evangelical church exists in 2,800 villages.  In the last ten years, approximately five new churches have opened each week.  There are more evangelical Christians in Romania than in all of the nations of Eastern Europe combined.”

Now that would gladden the heart of any evangelical preacher.  The question is how on earth did they get so many ministers ready to open no less than five new churches every week?  The greatest Seminary in the world could not produce so many preachers in such a short a time.

It took me two decades of intense study of the Bible before the Almighty thought I was ready to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.  Another two decades during which time there was hardly a day in which I did not open the Bible, and yet I am far from being able to claim that I know everything there is to know about the Bible.  I continue to discover new things, new mysteries about this book that I think will astonish those who are interested in God’s plan for mankind, as it did me, when I will reveal them to the world shortly.

I spoke to a number of people in Romania who seemed to know the Bible quite well.  One was a University Professor, others were, as far as I could ascertain, former apparatchiks, in particular, members or associates of Romania’s secret services.  Since then, it was widely reported in the media that every single priest and preacher of Romania’s churches – Orthodox, Protestant, Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Evangelical, etc. – were recruited by, and informers of, Ceausecu’s dreaded Securitate.  The top brass of that institution were all fluent in the Bible.  Hence the inexhaustible supply of personnel ready to take up positions of leadership in evangelical churches, just as they have done in the past in other churches.

Now do you remember what they did when they found out that I wanted to set up, not a church, but a mere prayer group under the banner of Alpha and Omega Christian Foundation in Romania?  They virtually run me out of the country.  They came up with such invectives, calumnies, threats, and lies that even my own relatives turned against me.  Since then my links with Romania have been completely severed, so much so that I could not explain to anyone that nothing is true of what the servants of Dracula have said about me.  I even wrote to President Basescu about the actions of his secret services, but, as one might have expected, he did not bother answering one of such low status.  And no wonder, for it is widely believed among the population that he is a puppet of the secret services, a view amply supported by the media.

An extraordinary phenomenon has been occurring in Romania after the Revolution that was supposed to free the country from the communist yoke. Instead of settling down and building up their ravaged country, more than four million Romanians have abandoned the country and become the scourge of Europe.  European leaders despair about how to deal with bands of lawless, despondent, unruly, unkempt, “Romanian Gipsies” that prowl their cities in search of a meagre living. No one understands how one of the most peaceful, musical, and poetic nation on earth could give rise to such reckless people in such a short a time. Yet the explanation is simple.

Romanians know that instead of bringing them freedom, their Revolution has in fact brought them a new set of masters insensitive to their plight.  It is a well known fact members of Ceausescu’s dreaded Securitate betrayed the Revolution and ensconced themselves in positions of leadership in virtually all governing institutions and spheres of activity.  At first people thought that that may not be all that bad, for at least they had governing experience.  After half a century of persistent decimation of their opposition, there was hardly anyone capable of forming government that was not tainted by the communist stigma.  Unfortunately, it did not turn out that way.  Instead of embracing democratic principles, their Securitate masters turned the country into their personal fiefdom.  To give you an example: at a time when the average Romanian worker salary was barely $400.00, Securitate officers retired on pensions of $6000.00.  That was only two years ago, not after the Revolution.  We do not know what the story is now, but what we do know is that while the wealth of Romania’s leaders continues to increase exponentially, their workers’ salaries are barely moving. And who is bankrolling this sudden road to riches?  European Union of course!  What does that tell you about who really is in charge of Romania’s wealth?

And consider this: the Securitate (now renamed the SRI), is now three times larger than it was during the time of Ceausescu.  Why would a democratic President need such a gigantic secret service organisation?  Instead of curbing its excesses, President Basescu has coaxed back all willing retired Securitate personnel and unleashed them on his political adversaries.

Securitate men, like their counterparts in former communist countries, have no national affinity. They have been trained to have allegiance to a leader and to an international atheistic ideology that transcends national boundaries.  That is why the plight of suffering local masses is of little concern to them.

National elections do not seem to have made any difference. It does not matter who wins, the “boys with blue eyes” (or, shall we say, the demons with blue eyes) make sure that their men are always on top. Nothing moves in the country, no one can make any progress, unless he is approved by nameless, shameless, background bureaucrats. And they wonder that their youths abandon the country in droves. The problem has become so acute that members of Parliament have suggested a policy of handing out $20,000.00 to every Romanian that comes back. I doubt that they would have many takers. No one likes to live in a suffocating jail, no mater how well gilded it may be.

European leaders would solve the problem of the roving “Romanian Gipsies” overnight if they could free Romania from the shackles of the Securitate.  Millions of Romanians from around the world, we included, would clamour to get back to their impoverished yet rich and beautiful country, without their $20,000.00. However, as long as European Parliamentarians shake the hands of those impostors on their corridors of power that will never happen.

Throughout Europe, Romanians groan and sigh, and cry in spirit to European leader: give us our country back from the claws of rapacious creatures and we will leave you alone forever. Otherwise you will have to contend with yet more millions of dispossessed vagrant Romanians.

And so it is, those who pull the strings in Romania, in both the secular and religious life, do not mind when new religions and sects set up tent in their country, opening up churches that impose horrendous burdens on an already impoverished nation, as long as they can control them, yet go to great lengths to prevent us from setting up a group of believers without the obligations of tithing and mandatory offerings.

To understand how far these churches are from the truth of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ let us consider just one Christian Holy Day, the most important one in the Christian calendar.  Do you know which one that is? Not Christmas, not Easter, not Sunday, for none of these are sanctioned as Holy Days in the Bible.

The most important Christian Holy Day is the Passover.  Have a look at this.

1Co 11:16  But if anyone seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor do the churches of God.

1Co 11:17  Now in giving these instructions I do not praise you, since you come together not for the better but for the worse.

1Co 11:18  For first of all, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it.

1Co 11:19  For there must also be factions among you, that those who are approved may be recognized among you.

1Co 11:20  Therefore when you come together in one place, it is not to eat the Lord's Supper.

1Co 11:21  For in eating, each one takes his own supper ahead of others; and one is hungry and another is drunk.

1Co 11:22  What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and shame those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I do not praise you.

1Co 11:23  For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;

1Co 11:24  and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me."

1Co 11:25  In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."

1Co 11:26  For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes.

1Co 11:27  Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

1Co 11:28  But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.

1Co 11:29  For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

1Co 11:30  For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.

1Co 11:31  For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.

1Co 11:32  But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.

1Co 11:33  Therefore, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.

1Co 11:34  But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest you come together for judgment. And the rest I will set in order when I come.

“Whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.”  Now not only are the churches of Romania, and of the world for that matter, not keeping the Passover in a worthy manner, they are not keeping it at all. And yet, they claim to be churches of Jesus Christ.

In the forty years since I began the study of the Bible, I have not found a single church, or person, that seeks after, and upholds, the true standards and doctrines of Jesus Christ and His Apostles.  Should anyone wonder then that God Almighty has given us the task of restoring the true Gospel and witnessing it to the world?

Before we conclude, let us go back briefly to Paul’s epistles to the Colossians and Galatians which we quoted earlier.  Remember how he told them not to let anyone judge them in food or in drink or in keeping the Sabbaths. That would appear to mean they could eat and drink anything they want, whenever they want.  Now contrast that with what he wrote in his epistle to the Corinthians, whom he advised not to eat or drink the Lord’s Supper in an unworthy manner.

Is there a contradiction here?  Of course not!  He was referring to different things in each epistle.  Herein lays the danger of not knowing and not understanding the Scriptures properly. The churches of today have made a virtue out of their ignorance of the Scriptures, picking up from them what suits them, and discarding what it doesn’t. They like what Apostle Paul wrote to the Colossians and Galatians, but completely ignore what he wrote to the Corinthians. Why do they do that?  Because that allows them to hold on to their “commandments of men” and to their pagan holy days, beliefs and practices!  And what does God say about that?

Jer 5:21  'Hear this now, O foolish people, Without understanding, Who have eyes and see not, And who have ears and hear not:

Jer 5:22  Do you not fear Me?' says the LORD. 'Will you not tremble at My presence, Who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea, By a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it? And though its waves toss to and fro, Yet they cannot prevail; Though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it.

Jer 5:23  But this people has a defiant and rebellious heart; They have revolted and departed.

Jer 5:24  They do not say in their heart, "Let us now fear the LORD our God, Who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season. He reserves for us the appointed weeks of the harvest."

Jer 5:25  Your iniquities have turned these things away, And your sins have withheld good from you.

Jer 5:26  'For among My people are found wicked men; They lie in wait as one who sets snares; They set a trap; They catch men.

Jer 5:27  As a cage is full of birds, So their houses are full of deceit. Therefore they have become great and grown rich.

Jer 5:28  They have grown fat, they are sleek; Yes, they surpass the deeds of the wicked; They do not plead the cause, The cause of the fatherless; Yet they prosper, And the right of the needy they do not defend.

Jer 5:29  Shall I not punish them for these things?' says the LORD. 'Shall I not avenge Myself on such a nation as this?'

Jer 5:30  "An astonishing and horrible thing Has been committed in the land:

Jer 5:31  The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule by their own power; And My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?

Widespread Religious Deception Proves

That We Are Living In the Last Days

"Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.  So you also, when you see all these things, know that [the end] is near—at the doors!  Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.  Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. (Mat 24:32-35)

What things was Jesus Christ referring to which indicate that the end is near?  It is important to know what to look for, because those who are taken by surprise by “these things” will loose their salvation.

There are many things Jesus Christ listed as indicating that the end is near, among which are wars and rumours of wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, lawlessness, lack of faith, etc.

Now these sorts of things have ravaged this planet to various degrees ever since that time.  Herein lays the problem: people have gotten used to these things to the point that they are no longer regarded as signs from God but as “natural disasters”.  The fact that humanity is now facing such “natural disasters” that threaten the very existence of life on this planet is of little consequence to religious leaders, the very people who ought to know better, who still deny that these are signs from God that are associated with the end of this age.

When God placed human beings on this planet, it was not meant to be this way. The natural state of things should be general well-being, peace, abundance and prosperity, not wars, draughts, famines, floods, epidemics and pestilences – things that have made life on this planet little short of hell. This is the consequence of human beings departing from God and deciding to go their own way, to do their own things, to be “free moral agents” as they like put it. Well, pretty soon they won’t be able to do their own things anymore, because humanity has reached the end of the line.  Either it curbs its excesses, sins, lawlessness, and lack of faith, or it will perish. Not in an indeterminate future, but now in the next few short years or even months.

God saw that with the passage of time, human beings would bring disaster upon themselves, to the point of threatening their own existence. So He gave us His prophecies to know about these things and avoid them.

Here is one of the most detailed prophecies about the end time, from none other than Jesus Christ Himself.

Mat 24:1  Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple.

Mat 24:2  And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down."

Mat 24:3  Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"

Mat 24:4  And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you.

Mat 24:5  For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.

Mat 24:6  And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Mat 24:7  For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.

Mat 24:8  All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Mat 24:9  "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.

Mat 24:10  And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.

Mat 24:11  Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

Mat 24:12  And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

Mat 24:13  But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

Mat 24:14  And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Mat 24:15  "Therefore when you see the 'ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place"  (whoever reads, let him understand),

Mat 24:16  "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

Mat 24:17  Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house.

Mat 24:18  And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.

Mat 24:19  But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!

Mat 24:20  And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.

Mat 24:21  For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Mat 24:22  And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.

Mat 24:23  "Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There!' do not believe it.

Mat 24:24  For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Mat 24:25  See, I have told you beforehand.

Mat 24:26  "Therefore if they say to you, 'Look, He is in the desert!' do not go out; or 'Look, He is in the inner rooms!' do not believe it.

Mat 24:27  For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Mat 24:28  For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.

Mat 24:29  "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Mat 24:30  Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Mat 24:31  And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Mat 24:32  "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.

Mat 24:33  So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!

Mat 24:34  Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.

Mat 24:35  Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

Mat 24:36  "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

Mat 24:37  But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Mat 24:38  For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,

Mat 24:39  and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Mat 24:40  Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.

Mat 24:41  Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.

Mat 24:42  Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.

Mat 24:43  But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

Mat 24:44  Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Mat 24:45  "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?

Mat 24:46  Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.

Mat 24:47  Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.

Mat 24:48  But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,'

Mat 24:49  and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,

Mat 24:50  the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,

Mat 24:51  and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The very first words to His disciples, when they asked Him about His coming and the end of this age, were:  "Take heed that no one deceives you.  For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.”  Then, after listing the signs and tribulations that the world would undergo before His return, He once again spoke about religious deception:  “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.  See, I have told you beforehand.”

Now many people, scientists and national leaders, have come to realise that climate change and global warming represent existential threats to humanity, yet from God’s point of view religious deception is a far more serious problem.  Why?  Because when it comes to “natural disasters”, there is a very simple remedy – return to God in heartfelt repentance and worship, and He will turn things around in no time at all, but in the case of religious deception, even God cannot do anything about it.  As Apostle Paul aid:

Heb 6:4  For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit,

Heb 6:5  and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,

Heb 6:6  if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

Heb 6:7  For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God;

Heb 6:8  but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.

Now who are those who were once enlightened, have tasted the heavenly gift, become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and then fallen away?  Obviously, religious leaders, the very ones that are denying that there is any climate change and global warming, who are now engaging in a coordinated campaign against us for speaking about these things and placing them in a prophetic context.

Jesus Christ had a conflict with the religious leaders of His day too.  When they saw that He was making headway with the people, the only way by which they could counteract Him was to accuse Him of doping the work of “Beelzebub.”

Mat 12:22  Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.

Mat 12:23  And all the multitudes were amazed and said, "Could this be the Son of David?"

Mat 12:24  Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, "This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons."

Mat 12:25  But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.

Mat 12:26  If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?

Mat 12:27  And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.

Mat 12:28  But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.

Mat 12:29  Or how can one enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.

Mat 12:30  He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.

Mat 12:31  "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.

Mat 12:32  Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

Associating the work of the Holy Spirit with the Devil represents a blasphemy that could never be forgiven, “either in this age or in the age to come”.  And what was true at the time of Jesus Christ, is true today, and shall always true, because God does not change.

Mal 3:6  "For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

Denying God’s existence and creation are blasphemies that could never be forgiven either, yet this philosophy permeates every corner of our “enlightened” world.

There are many churches in the world today who try to please both God and Beelzebub by maintaining that God used evolution as a means of creation.  They do this because they do not believe that God could possibly have created the world in six days, a belief that stands ill with both Jesus Christ and His Apostles who unhesitatingly believed the Genesis account of creation.

What is even more surprising is that it is fundamentalist churches that have propagated the notion of theistic evolution, the ones that are now joining mainstream churches in a coordinated attack against us and our work.

Fundamentalist churches have also joined mainstream churches in trying to be nice to God by absolving Him from any evil that has ever taken place in the world.  This is not to say that God loves everything that happens in the world, or has ever happened, yet He allowed it to happen in order to teach human beings a lesson of their own making.

Lam 3:38  Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that woe and well-being proceed?

Amo 3:6  If a trumpet is blown in a city, will not the people be afraid? If there is calamity in a city, will not the LORD have done it?

Deu 4:39  Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the LORD Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.

Heb 4:13  And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

Mal 3:5  And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness against sorcerers, against adulterers, against perjurers, against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, and against those who turn away an alien— because they do not fear Me," says the LORD of hosts.

Through much of the Bible, God expressed strong condemnation for his religious servants – priests and prophets who prophesied lies in His name and brought catastrophe upon His people.

Jer 23:24  Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?" says the LORD; "Do I not fill heaven and earth?" says the LORD.

Jer 23:25  "I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in My name, saying, 'I have dreamed, I have dreamed!'

Jer 23:26  How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart,

Jer 23:27  who try to make My people forget My name by their dreams which everyone tells his neighbor, as their fathers forgot My name for Baal.

Jer 23:28  "The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat?" says the LORD.

Jer 23:29  "Is not My word like a fire?" says the LORD, "And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

Jer 23:30  "Therefore behold, I am against the prophets," says the LORD, "who steal My words every one from his neighbor.

Jer 23:31  Behold, I am against the prophets," says the LORD, "who use their tongues and say, 'He says.'

Jer 23:32  Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams," says the LORD, "and tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies and by their recklessness. Yet I did not send them or command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all," says the LORD.

I am against the prophets who steal My words every one from his neighbour, says the Lord.  We have had the extraordinary situation in which certain preachers have come to us, trying to impress us with our own revelations. They did not think that we remember the things we have revealed for the first time. When we gently drew this to their attention, they angrily turned against us, vowing to never have anything to do with us anymore.

There are many people who have made use of our writings. We do not mind it.  We do not even ask recognition (except in cases of wholesale reproductions), as long as they do not come back to us with our own revelations pretending that they are theirs.

At no time in the history of the world have there been as many false priests, false prophets and false teachers as there are now.  Jesus Christ said that they would try to deceive even the elect of God, if that were possible, but clearly such a thing is not possible.

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”

Can you see now why it is so important that people are aware of religious deception?  Those who are victims of it are not part of the elect of God.  The problem is that all church going Christians think they are part of God’s elect, yet they have no idea what religious deception is all about.

Jesus Christ said, “many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.” Now how could someone who says he is a servant of Jesus Christ deceive his followers?  Simple!  By preaching a false gospel, by derailing them from the true path, by blinding them to the signs of the times, and in our case, by obscuring the prophecies which point out the fact that we live in the last days!  Notice what Apostle Paul said about the end times.

1Ti 4:1  Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,

1Ti 4:2  speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,

1Ti 4:3  forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

1Ti 4:4  For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving;

1Ti 4:5  for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

1Ti 4:6  If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed.

There was a family of Orthodox Christians that I held in high regard for the work they did in the community. For years they would come to me whenever they needed help them with documents in English, translating, typing, and answering them, on their behalf, something I had done for other people as well, freely of course.

I was happy to do so, especially since they also showed interest in our magazines.  For a long time I wondered what they were doping with them since their English was quite poor, even though they have been in the English speaking world longer than I have.  As we have done with everyone who wanted our magazines, we gladly handed them out, and never asked any questions.  We always hoped that in time they would understand their importance, then come to us and request to become part of this great work.  Alas that never happened.

One day, they asked me to give them one of my usual visits. As I live in a satellite town of Sydney, I usually take the opportunity to do some shopping when I visit them.  When my tenant heard that I was going to Sydney, she asked me if she could come shopping with me.  I told her that there will be a delay as I was going to visit some friends first.  She said she would not mind. So I was happy to present her to my friends. They in turn, apologised profusely for serving us a vegetarian meal because it was a Friday.  They explained that they were strict Orthodox Christians and as such could not eat meat on Fridays.  Where the Orthodox Church got that dogma from, I do not know, but what I do know is that, according to the Bible, that is a doctrine of demons – a classic example of religious deception.

What surprised me was that I had already written about this fact quite explicitly in the magazines that they had received from me, yet they showed no knowledge of it at all. I did not breach that topic at that time, assuring them that we had no problem eating vegetarian meals. I did however asked them what they were doing with our magazines, to which they replied proudly that they were sending them to another family who was living more than a thousand kilometres away, who they said, was very appreciative of them.  They knew that we sent our magazines freely to all and sunder, around the world, yet for more than a decade, they took pride in sending our magazines themselves to their friends, without ever reading them.  Well, that was fine with us; we had no reason to complain.  What followed that visit however was one of the most hurtful things I had ever encountered in my life. No sooner had we returned home, that the lady sent word that she never wanted to see us again. She told people in the community that she scrubbed and scrubbed her dishes, and cleaned the house thoroughly after us to erase any smell or dirt that that “Asian woman” may have left behind.  You see, my tenant and friend, is from the Philippines, one of the most gentle, clean, polite, hard working and considerate women I have ever met.

Now these people, who are quite old by now, will go to their graves with that kind of racist mentality and consciousness, thoroughly convinced that because they conformed to their Orthodox dogma they have a place in heaven – their Orthodox priest has assured them of that.  This is what Orthodox Church does to people. This is the kind of “Christians” it presents before Jesus Christ.

It so happens that that Orthodox priest is in Australia because this same family, begged me to write to my Member of Parliament an exemplary reference about him, which I did even though I did not know him.  I hope God Almighty will forgive me for that, but now undoubtedly He lets me receive the fruit of my own doing.

I have since heard that the man is a shameless adulterer, no less than the priest he replaced.

Can you see now why Jesus Christ and His Apostles placed so much importance on the danger that comes from religious deception? It is a matter of life and death, affecting people’s minds and attitudes in this world, and their salvation in the next.

Mat 23:1  Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples,

Mat 23:2  saying: "The scribes and the Pharisees [and the New Testament priests and ministers]  sit in Moses' seat.

Mat 23:3  Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.

Mat 23:4  For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

Mat 23:5  But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments.

Mat 23:6  They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,

Mat 23:7  greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, 'Rabbi, Rabbi.'

Mat 23:8  But you, do not be called 'Rabbi'; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.

Mat 23:9  Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.

Mat 23:10  And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.

Mat 23:11  But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant.

Mat 23:12  And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

Mat 23:13  "But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

Mat 23:14  Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.

Mat 23:15  "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.

Mat 23:16  "Woe to you, blind guides, who say, 'Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obliged to perform it.'

Mat 23:17  Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold?

Mat 23:18  And, 'Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is obliged to perform it.'

Mat 23:19  Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift?

Mat 23:20  Therefore he who swears by the altar, swears by it and by all things on it.

Mat 23:21  He who swears by the temple, swears by it and by Him who dwells in it.

Mat 23:22  And he who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God and by Him who sits on it.

Mat 23:23  "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.

Mat 23:24  Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!

Mat 23:25  "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence.

Mat 23:26  Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.

Mat 23:27  "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness.

Mat 23:28  Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

Mat 23:29  "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous,

Mat 23:30  and say, 'If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.'

Mat 23:31  "Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets.

Mat 23:32  Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers' guilt.

Mat 23:33  Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?

Christian priests and ministers think that these Scriptures apply only to the scribes and Pharisees of the Old Testament, even though they describe perfectly well what is happening in their own churches.  They speak in the name of the Lord, yet they grievously deceive their followers.

More than any other sign, religious deception is associated with the “latter times”. But do people know about it?  If you ask anyone that question, most likely he would tell you that other churches deceive their members, not his own.  Catholics say that about Protestants, Orthodox Christians about Catholics, Protestants about both, and so on.

Admittedly, these days more and more people believe that all churches and religions lead to the same place – heaven.  Hell has just about disappeared from people’s consciousness; political correctness demands that no person must be condemned to the fires of hell forever, hence is the only option for all human beings is heaven.

But of course, Jesus Christ and His Apostles had a different thing in mind when they warned their followers to beware of false christs, false prophets and false teachers. They knew that those who become their victims will loose their salvation and forfeit any chance of making it into the Kingdom of Heaven.

By the time of the end, religious deception will be so widespread that none of those who “dwell on the earth” will escape it. By then, Satan’s ministers would have turned things around to such a degree that two witnesses who remain faithful to God and preach the true Gospel, will be condemned as false prophets. Here is their story.

[Here we have an euphemism. The fire that comes out of their mouth is not real fire but the Word of God, the true Gospel.  God’s words can burn worse than fire. [“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”. (Heb 4:12)]

In effect, God is telling His two witnesses that if anyone speaks against them, or does them any harm, he must be spiritually killed. For God that is the only death that matters. In their first death, human beings merely fall a sleep until they are resurrected to the end time judgment.

God’s witnesses, therefore, have the power to condemn their enemies to eternal damnation].

Rev 11:6  These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire.

[This verse describes exactly what is happening in the world at present. This is why we have warned world leaders that humanity has entered the time of God’s last end time witnesses. But of course they did not believe us.  No one believes it, until they face catastrophe in the face, as the people of Noah’s time faced the Flood and perished].

Rev 11:7  When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.

[This merely confirms the fact that Devil’s servants will rise against those two prophets, and kill them].

[How extraordinary that “those who dwell on the earth” should hate the people of God so much that when they are killed they rejoice and exchange gifts. They do not know that their happiness is of short duration.   The question is how could two wretched people – clothed in sackcloths – torment everyone who dwells on the earth?  Simple! By preaching the true Gospel of Jesus Christ!  A world weaned on false gospels and deception, regards that as the gospel of the Devil].

Rev 11:11  Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.

Rev 11:12  And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.”

Clearly, the two witnesses will be raised to life together with the one hundred and forty four thousand elect of God of Revelation 7:4, which is right at the end of this age.

Now since the problem of religious deception is so widely discussed in the Bible, why is this topic so little discussed in the churches of today? Is it because by alerting people to this fact, they might open the Bible to find out the truth for themselves, and discover the unthinkable: that those who claim to bring them to Christ are in fact deceiving them.  Decades ago, this discovery let to the appearance of The Christian Herald. Unmistakable signs were clearly pointing to the fact that the world was heading in the wrong direction, yet no one was raising his voice to warn people of this danger.

We did not know then how long it will be before human beings would bring catastrophe upon themselves; all we knew was that it could not be long.  All the signs were there that the end of this age was fast approaching.

At the beginning of 2008, we sent out a special newsletter to world leaders in which we pointed out the perilous condition of the world and the way out of it.  That undoubtedly is our most important newsletter to date.  For this reason, we decided to reproduce it in its entirety this magazine for those who may not have read it. So here it is.

LEADERS  OF  THE  WORLD,

  YOU  ARE  HEADING  TOWARDS  CATASTROPHE!

RETURN TO YOUR CREATOR GOD, OR YOU AND YOUR PEOPLE WILL PERISH!

The time of reckoning is at hand.  Turn around from the path of self-destruction and bring your people back to God, or no one will survive the catastrophe into which powerful dark forces are leading the world into.

The planet is being scorched, climate change is causing turmoil around the world, widespread famine is looming, oil supply is running dry, and international relations are on a knife edge.  These, and more, are in biblical prophecy, as is the fact that unless people turn to God now, the world is heading towards annihilation.”

This is the time Jesus Christ spoke about when He said that unless God intervenes to cut those days short, no flesh will be saved alive. (Mat. 24). He also gave us this prophecy, which is being fulfilled before our very eyes.

Rev 16:5  And I heard the angel of the waters saying: "You are righteous, O Lord, the One who is and who was and who is to be, because You have judged these things. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets,

Rev 16:6  And You have given them blood to drink. For it is their just due."

Rev 16:7  And I heard another from the altar saying, "Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments."

Rev 16:8  Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire.

Rev 16:9  And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.

Human beings cannot resolve these problems on their own anymore, yet they would not repent of their sins and turn to God who has power over these plagues, but continue to blaspheme by denying Him and His act of creation.

God is never mentioned in the forums that claim to deal with these problems; the result being that humanity is getting ever closer to the edge of the abyss. You need to address your people and let them know about their dire situation and the fact that only God Almighty can save them now, or you and your people have no future.

The Devil, the author of sin, hate and confusion, has been cast out of heaven, and is now ravaging the planet.

Jesus Christ knew that human beings would depart from God and engage in destructive activities that would bring catastrophe upon themselves.  He also knew of this prophecy, which is now due.

Mal 4:5  Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.

Mal 4:6  And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.

The dreadful Day of the Lord is truly within sight.  Human beings have the choice of continuing to spite their Creator and wallow in sin and hatred, and perish in a tribulation the likes of which this world has never seen, or turn to God in repentance, love and worship, and survive the exceedingly difficult times ahead.

We are quoting the Bible to you because this is the Word of God, and because we do not know how better to impress upon you the seriousness of the situation.  Fulfilled prophecies are the greatest proof of God, the greatest and more menacing being in the making before our very eyes.

The world has entered the prophecy of Revelation 11.  Read it in your own Bible to know what that means.

We cannot tell in a newsletter like this all that God Almighty has revealed to us, but we have expanded upon it in The Christian Heralds.  You need to read our latest edition – No 17 – which we have just placed on the internet, in order to understand the truly perilous condition of the world. You will find that on this site: www.thechristianherald.info

We have done our duty before God, now it’s your turn.  But beware of turning to the old religions that have brought humanity to where it is. Only Christianity of Jesus Christ and of His Apostles, and worship of the true God, will do this time.  Details also in The Christian Heralds!

Those who think that this is an exercise in aggrandizement are gravely mistaken. We are paying a heavy price for this work.   In the service of Jesus Christ!   G.S.

Surprisingly, the strongest reaction to this newsletter came not from the Catholic or Orthodox Churches, as in the past, but from fundamentalist Christians.  This is what they said.

“This has nothing whatever to do with the hoax of so-called man-made climate change. Do your homework and you will see historically who has been pushing this hoax; you will also discover that it is ridiculed by scientists and contrary to facts on the ground. . .

You are guessing or presuming, which is impersonating a prophet and blasphemy because you are claiming to speak in the Name of the Lord what He has NOT said. . .

Your duty to God is to receive a clear revelation of the true oneness of the godhead, repent and be baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, recognize your day and its Message and become a written epistle of the present Truth - what Jesus is doing now . . .”

We will spare you the rest of their ramblings, but this should be enough to give you an idea of what we have to contend with.  They went on to give us a lesson on the Bible. We assure you that their understanding of the Scriptures is as good as their understanding of climate change. And who are they? None other than people who call themselves “Bible Believers”!

Long ago, we learned that it is futile to try to reason with these kinds of people. When, in spite of all the evidence to the contrary, they still maintain that climate change is a hoax, what can you say? And for good measure they underline that word too.

These people would never admit to global warming even if they are being scorched to death by it.  Why?  Because they know that global warming is an end time sign and they do not want to see that coming in their life time, for if it does they know that they are finished.  The Scriptures make it clear that in the end time, aside from the two witnesses, all other religious leaders will preach false gospels.

The reason we keep on sending God’s messages to these people too, as we do to other world leaders, is because our heavenly Father wants us to continue doing so, per chance they may come to their senses, turn around from the path of self-destruction and care for their members as they care for themselves.

What world are these people living in that they think climate change is a hoax?  They say that this idea is ridiculed by scientists.  We do not know what scientists they are referring to, but what we do know is that the following scientific reports are not hoaxes.

“Arctic ice melting 30 years too soon”

“The Arctic icecap could be free of summer ice by 2020, scientists say. So what will this mean for ice on Greenland, seen here, and other parts of the icy north? (Image: iStockphoto)(Source: iStockphoto)

The Arctic icecap is melting much faster than expected and is now about 30 years ahead of predictions made by a UN climate panel, a US ice expert says. This means the ocean at the top of the world could be free or nearly free of summer ice by 2020, three decades sooner than the global panel's gloomiest forecast of 2050 from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

No ice on the Arctic Ocean during the northern hemisphere summer would be a major spur to global warming, says Dr Ted Scambos, a glaciologist at the US National Snow and Ice Data Center in Colorado.

"Right now ... the Arctic helps keep the Earth cool," Scambos says. "Without that Arctic ice, or with much less of it, the Earth will warm much faster."  This is because the ice reflects light and heat; when it is gone, the much darker land or sea will absorb more light and heat, making it more difficult for the planet to cool down, even in winter, he says.

Scambos and co-authors of the study, published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters, used satellite data and visual confirmation of Arctic ice to reach their conclusions.  This gives a far different picture than that obtained from computer models used by the scientists of the intergovernmental panel.

"The IPCC report was very careful, very thorough and cautious, so they erred on the side of what would certainly occur as opposed to what might occur," Scambos says.  The wide possibility of what might occur include a much later melt up north, or a much earlier one, Scambos says.

"It appears we're on pace about 30 years earlier than expected to reach a state where we don't have sea ice or at least not very much in late summer in the Arctic Ocean," he says.

He discounts the notion that the sharp warming trend in the Arctic might be due to natural climate cycles.

"There aren't many periods in history that are this dramatic in terms of natural variability," Scambos says.

He says he has no doubt that this is caused in large part by greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, which he says is the only thing capable of changing Earth on such a large scale over so many latitudes.

Asked what could fix the problem, the topic of a new report by the intergovernmental panel to be released on Friday in Bangkok, Scambos says a large volcanic eruption might hold Arctic ice melting at bay for a few years.  But he says a continued warm-up is inevitable in the coming decades.

"Long-term and for the next 50 years, I think even the new report will agree that we're in for quite a bit of warming," Scambos says.  "We just barely now, I think, have enough time and enough collective will to be able to get through this century in good shape, but it means we have to start acting now and in a big way." (Deborah Zabarenko, Reuters, ABC, Catalyst, May 2, 2007)

And this from the other side of the world we have this.

“Antarctic ice sheet melting fast”

Antarctica's mammoth ice sheet is in "significant decline", scientists say, probably due to climate change.

US researchers at the University of Colorado at Boulder say online in the journal Science today the Antarctic ice sheet is losing up to 152 cubic kilometres of ice a year.

"This is the first study to indicate the total mass balance of the Antarctic ice sheet is in significant decline," says Dr Isabella Velicogna, of the university's Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences.

The team calculated that the ice sheet lost 152 cubic kilometres a year from April 2002 to August 2005, give or take 80 cubic kilometres.  This is equivalent to global seas rising 0.4 millimetres a year, with a margin of error of 0.2 millimetres, the researchers say.

The bulk of the loss is occurring in the West Antarctic ice sheet, according to Velicogna, whose team used two satellites orbiting Earth in tandem to gather data.  These satellites estimate Earth's global gravity field. And variations in the gravity field over time were used to determine changes in Earth's mass distribution, necessary for estimating changes in mass of the Antarctic ice sheet.

"The changes we are seeing are probably a good indicator of the changing climatic conditions there," Velicogna says.  The study seems to contradict the 2001 assessment by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change which forecast that the Antarctic ice shelf would actually gain mass in the 21st century due to higher precipitation in a warming climate. The US researchers say the IPCC estimate was based on sparse coverage of coastal areas, which would have affected the results.

Twice the size of Australia.   As Earth's fifth largest continent, Antarctica is twice the size of Australia and contains 70% percent of Earth's fresh water resources. The ice sheet is an average 1981 metres thick. Research from the British Antarctic Survey suggests melting of the West Antarctic ice sheet alone would raise global sea levels by more than 6 metres. (ABC/AFP, March 3, 2006).

The world is groaning under the weight of climate change: if it is not searing drought, it is deadly floods.  Water has become a precious commodity – entire countries and cities are running out of drinking water, not to speak of water for agriculture, nowhere more so than in the Middle East, the area that features prominently in the end time prophetic developments.  And now, rising sea water threatens millions of people in coastal communities. And yet, people who claim to be Christ’s ministers, are telling the world that climate change is a hoax.

Can you see now why God had to choose people that were not connected with any official religion to deliver His end time messages to the world?  They say that I am impersonating a prophet. What prophet am I impersonating?  Do I need to impersonate anyone to show the world what God says in His living Word, that humanity is unmistakably heading towards a catastrophic end?

We do not claim exclusivity in what we are doing. Anyone can serve God and be His prophet. In order to be a prophet of God, all one has to do is keep God’s Commandments, accept Jesus Christ as Saviour, pray and worship God in truth and spirit, study the Scriptures, and listen to the innermost voice of God. The more prophets the better!  It is the world’s loss that there aren’t any more true prophets around, for there is plenty of false ones.

For a long time we have wondered how it will be possible that in the end time leaders of churches and religions, which are nominally opposed to each other, come together in a common position against God’s witnesses.  Well, we don’t wonder about it anymore.  They do not come together to oppose them on the basis of their scriptural teachings – they are too weak on the Scriptures for that. Instead, they are making fools of themselves by denying the obvious – “natural” developments that are causing ravages around the world.

Not being proficient in the Scriptures, they cannot see the connection between world developments and biblical prophesies.  We used to think that this was true only of mainstream religions, but now we discover that fundamentalist evangelical Christians are hardly any better at it. They merely confirm the fact that when people turn their back on God, or on His living Word – the Bible – He takes their wisdom away.

1Co 1:18  For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those being lost, but to us being saved, it is the power

1Co 1:19  of God.  For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will set aside the understanding of the perceiving ones."

1Co 1:20  Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the lawyer of this world? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

1Co 1:21  For since, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom did not know God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe.

Only those who believe that the Bible is the inalienable Word of God are being saved.  As Jesus Christ said:  Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”  People are sanctified by the Word of God.  We know of no other book that sanctifies people and speaks for God the way the Bible does. And we know of no one who has done more comparative studies on this topic than we have done.

Never at any time in history has humanity been groping in more spiritual darkness than it is now.  And never at any time in history has it been more obvious that world religions have done nothing but imprison and bring misery upon their followers.

Nowhere in the world can one find more assuring words than the ones spoken by the Man who overcame the world and became its worthy Saviour.

Joh 17:1  Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You,

Joh 17:2  as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him.

Joh 17:3  And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have

Joh 17:4  sent.  I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.

Joh 17:5  And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

Joh 17:6  "I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.

Joh 17:7  Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You.

Joh 17:8  For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.

Joh 17:9  "I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.  [Jesus prays for you if you are His follower. If you are not, God will never answer your prayers].

Joh 17:10  And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them.

Joh 17:11  Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.

Joh 17:12  While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

Joh 17:13  But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves.

Joh 17:14  I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

Joh 17:15  I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.

Joh 17:16  They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

Joh 17:17  Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

Joh 17:18  As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

Joh 17:19  And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

Joh 17:20  "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their

Joh 17:21  word;  that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

Joh 17:22  And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:

Joh 17:23  I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

Joh 17:24  "Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

Joh 17:25  O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me.

Joh 17:26  And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me

may be in them, and I in them."

It is not for the first time that we have quoted these Scriptures. No Man has ever spoken, or ever will speak, more moving, profound, hopeful and promising words than these ones.

Those who serve God and Jesus Christ in truth and in spirit have nothing to fear from us.  It is extraordinary that those who claim to be ministers of Jesus Christ take objection to our work and hate us for preaching a Gospel that conforms with the Scriptures?  If they preached the true Gospel, as they claim, there would be no problem, but the truth is that the churches of today have little in common with the early Churches of God described in the New Testament.

Those “Bible Believers” accused us of claiming to speak in the Name of the Lord what He has NOT said.” Well, let us see whether the Lord has said anything about global warming or not.  What do you think is the meaning of this?

Rev 16:4  Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. [This is an  euphemism about pollution. It makes water deadly and undrinkable].

Rev 16:5  And I heard the angel of the waters saying: "You are righteous, O Lord, The One who is and who was and who is to be, Because You have judged these things.

Rev 16:6  For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, And You have given them blood to drink. For it is their just due."

Rev 16:7  And I heard another from the altar saying, "Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments."

Rev 16:8  Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire.

[That the angel poured out his bowl on the sun is obviously another euphemism, but that men were scorched by the sun is not.  Never before has humanity faced a global warming of the scale and speed that we are witnessing these days].

Rev 16:9  And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.

These revelations came directly from the glorified Christ (Rev 1:1). So the Lord did say something about climate change and global warming after all. Now is it a mere coincidence that this scorching of the planet takes place exactly at a time when a number of other end time prophecies are being fulfilled, such as the work of Elijah of restoring the long lost Gospel of Jesus Christ, the work of the two witnesses of preaching that Gospel to the world, the returning of the Jews to their ancestral land, the catastrophic worsening of life conditions around the globe, with droughts, floods, hunger, famines, pestilences, epidemics, and the like, the wholesale departure from the true God and the proliferation of false religions, and finally the dark clouds of great power rivalries capable plunging the world into a nuclear nightmare, rising ever more menacing over the horizon.

Those who accuse us of “impersonating a prophet”, do not know that according to the Bible, anyone who preaches, teaches from the Bible, serves God, or merely praises Him in any way, is a prophet.

1Sa 10:1  Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it on his head, and kissed him and said: "Is it not because the LORD has anointed you commander over His inheritance?

1Sa 10:2  When you have departed from me today, you will find two men by Rachel's tomb in the territory of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say to you, 'The donkeys which you went to look for have been found. And now your father has ceased caring about the donkeys and is worrying about you, saying, "What shall I do about my son?" '

1Sa 10:3  Then you shall go on forward from there and come to the terebinth tree of Tabor. There three men going up to God at Bethel will meet you, one carrying three young goats, another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a skin of wine.

1Sa 10:4  And they will greet you and give you two loaves of bread, which you shall receive from their hands.

1Sa 10:5  After that you shall come to the hill of God where the Philistine garrison is. And it will happen, when you have come there to the city, that you will meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place with a stringed instrument, a tambourine, a flute, and a harp before them; and they will be prophesying.

1Sa 10:6  Then the Spirit of the LORD will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.

1Sa 10:7  And let it be, when these signs come to you, that you do as the occasion demands; for God is with you.

1Sa 10:8  You shall go down before me to Gilgal; and surely I will come down to you to offer burnt offerings and make sacrifices of peace offerings. Seven days you shall wait, till I come to you and show you what you should do."

1Sa 10:9  So it was, when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, that God gave him another heart; and all those signs came to pass that day.

1Sa 10:10  When they came there to the hill, there was a group of prophets to meet him; then the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.

1Sa 10:11  And it happened, when all who knew him formerly saw that he indeed prophesied among the prophets, that the people said to one another, "What is this that has come upon the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?"

1Sa 10:12  Then a man from there answered and said, "But who is their father?" Therefore it became a proverb: "Is Saul also among the prophets?"

1Sa 10:13  And when he had finished prophesying, he went to the high place.

Simply by joining a group of people who were praising God, singing and playing musical instruments, Saul became a prophet too.  God gave him the Holy Spirit and he became a new man. Unfortunately, it did not last, for he was a man of weak character. The slightest trial caused him to depart from God and loose the Holy Spirit.  That proves that not all people who receive the Holy Spirit remain faithful to God to the end. This is why Jesus Christ placed so much emphasis on overcoming to the end.

Rev 2:26  And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—

Rev 2:27  'HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON; THEY SHALL BE DASHED TO PIECES LIKE THE POTTER'S VESSELS'— as I also have received from My Father;

In contrast to Saul, David, the next king of Israel, endured horrendous trials, yet he remained faithful to God to the very end.  In so doing he assured himself of a highly honoured position in the Kingdom of God.

No other church or person preaches a Gospel that conforms with the Scriptures the way ours does.  Our writings are freely available for all to see, something that no other church or person could claim either.

The fact that no church likes what we preach does not surprise us.  We expected it, and said so in the very first edition of The Christian Herald. Now how did we know of this fact so early in our work? We knew it because after decades of careful comparison between world developments and biblical prophecy, we understood that the time was ripe for awesome developments as far as this world was concerned. We also understood that God Almighty did not give us that understanding for nothing: we had to do something about it.

For years we thought that we would bring this knowledge to the attention of the world through a church or churches.  But since no one wanted to hear what we had to say, we pooled our meagre resources and began publishing The Christian Herald independently.  Interestingly enough, the first churches to take a hostile attitude towards us were what I would call the two mother churches: H. W. Armstrong’s Worldwide Church of God, and G.T. Armstrong’s Church of God, International.

In one of their early letters to us, they demanded that we should not be happy in what we were doing.  They did not tell us why, but we suspected that it had something to do with the way they portrayed us to their congregations.  They do not like it when their victims do not fall to pieces, and become bitter and hateful, because that discredits the image they present to the church about them, an image they want to bring before the judgment seat of Christ too.  It is inconceivable for them that one they put out of the church should end up doing the work of God.  They never considered that these Scriptures may apply to them.

Joh 16:1  "These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble.

Joh 16:2  They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.

Joh 16:3  And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me.

In another letter, shortly after the first, they demanded that we cease this work because we had not been authorised to carry on such a work.  Yeah, we needed authorisation from them to carry out the work of God.

Our persistence and progress since that time is our answer to their requests.

They should be happy now that a plethora of other churches have joined them in condemning us.

Instead of coming to us and saying we agree with you, we are fellow travellers, we want to bring people back to God and save humanity from catastrophe too, our religious nemesis do everything they can to put an end to this work, to postpone the day of reckoning, the end of this age and the return of Jesus Christ. They just want to continue their life long tenures in the indulgent comfortable lifestyle that churches offer them, telling people what they want to hear, rather than what they ought to hear.

Sin is no longer fashionable to speak about these days, and that is why humanity has reached the edge of the abyss. That is why religious leaders would not allow other people to speak about it either.

But speak we must, because that is the duty God Almighty has given us, because He still cares about His creation and wants to spare it what the Devil is preparing for it – outright annihilation.

How would the Devil do that?  By obscuring the Word of God, by keeping from people the consequences of their sins, by keeping under cloud the prophecies that point to the end of this age, by presenting his servants as ministers of Christ, and by impersonating himself as the true God.

2Co 11:13  For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.

2Co 11:14  And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

2Co 11:15  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

2Co 4:1  Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart.

2Co 4:2  But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

2Co 4:3  But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,

2Co 4:4  whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

2Co 4:5  For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake.

2Co 4:6  For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

2Co 4:7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

2Co 4:8  We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

2Co 4:9  persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—

2Co 4:10  always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.

2Co 4:11  For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life of Jesus also may be

2Co 4:12  manifested in our mortal flesh.  So then death is working in us, but life in you.

2Co 4:13  And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I BELIEVED AND THEREFORE I SPOKE," we also believe and therefore speak,

2Co 4:14  knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us

2Co 4:15  with you.  For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

2Co 4:16  Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.

2Co 4:17  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,

2Co 4:18  while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Amen!

Bless us Father, and bless everyone who joins us in this worship and service to You and to our Lord Jesus Christ.  Keep us in good health that we may be able to fulfill our duties to the end.  Alleluia!

We offer special prayer for our brothers in Christ around the world who live under difficult circumstances.  We trust in You and know that You keep Your Word to bless and protect those who keep Your commandments and follow Your ways.                                                               Alleluia!

We also pray for those who are in authority over us, “that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in

all godliness and reverence.”                                                                                           Alleluia!

Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more

abundantly”.  We are grateful to You Father for blessing us abundantly, not with the riches of this world, but with hope of eternal life in Your wonderful Kingdom.                                                 Alleluia!

We ask You to continue to keep us neither wealthy, that our hearts may depart from You, nor poor, that we may fall into temptations.  Do the same Father to all who understand Your ways, who lay their lives in Your hand, and who worship You in truth and in spirit.                                                      Alleluia!

We honor, worship, and glorify You and our Lord Jesus Christ wholeheartedly, in whose name we

always come before You.                                                                                     Amen!  Alleluia!
